ESP Chosen to Serve New Seton Medical Center Harker Heights
AUSTIN, TX —Emergency Service Partners, L.P. (ESP) has been selected to provide medical management and staffing for the emergency department at the new Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, scheduled to open June 18.
The Austin-based emergency physician partnership expects to hire seven physicians to staff the emergency department. The new hospital, featuring 17 emergency beds, will make emergency care more accessible to area residents.
“Harker Heights has been anxiously awaiting having a first-class medical facility right in the city,” said ESP co-founder and managing partner Dr. Bruce Moskow. “We believe this new state-of-the-art emergency department and hospital will quickly become the region’s site of choice for both major and minor emergency care.”
The new facility in Harker Heights is a joint venture between the Austin-based Seton Healthcare Family and Plano-based LHP Hospital Group, Inc.
“We’ve been a proud partner with Seton for nearly 25 years,” said Cheryl Conner, chief executive officer of ESP. “We are thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with Seton at this brand new facility, and we’re looking forward to our first partnership with the LHP Hospital Group as well.”
ESP was formed in 1988 to manage and staff the emergency department at Seton’s original facility in Central Austin. The company now serves more than 20 emergency departments across Texas, including 10 in the Seton network.
Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is just the latest expansion for ESP. In February, the firm announced it is partnering with the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System to manage and staff two free-standing emergency centers set to open later this year in San Antonio and New Braunfels.
