Solutions for Hospitals and Physicians
ESP provides a competent emergency physician group practicing in the Emergency Department, led by the Emergency Department Medical Director. To that end, our recruiting specialists conduct national searches, facilitate personal physician interviews, and conduct personal tours of the facility and ED practice in order to find the right fit both for the physician and for the hospital.
Beyond the locations we serve, physicians are drawn to ESP for multiple reasons including stability, RVU productivity-based compensation, and equity ownership. Through this equity pathway, physicians take real ownership in the welfare of the practice and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency services. ESP Contract Managers (mostly former ED Nurse Directors) are the conduits for providing clinical service assistance to our partner hospitals. In addition to coordinating the ESP operations team assigned to the hospital and assisting the Medical Director, ESP Contract Managers are a resource to ED nursing leadership.
ESP demonstrates specialty care with our partners that meets or exceeds definable benchmarks. These benchmarks in patient safety and CMS Core Measures are monitored for the highest level of compliance. ESP also has success in improving Emergency Department process benchmarks including decreasing Left Without Being Seen (LWBS) and Length of Stay (LOS), lowering door-to-doctor times and improving patient satisfaction scores.

Commitment to Service
Customer service is the leading tenet of our practice plan. We also offer a customer service course given to the entire emergency department staff.
Our ED physicians remain on the cutting edge of their field through ongoing clinical and risk management CME. ESP participates in a comprehensive risk management educational program. Online CME is offered and monitored by ESP. In addition, ESP also provides ongoing Difficult Airway and FAST courses, provides a complete onsite medical library, and employs an in-house Risk Manager to facilitate our risk management efforts and coordinate with our partner hospitals.
Improving Clinical Outcomes
ESP has active programs of case management for better patient outcomes and cost containment. Numerous clinical pathways have been implemented at our practice sites including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and post-arrest hypothermia. Specialty care for patients has been utilized by ESP and our partner hospitals through chest pain centers, stroke centers, and occupational medicine experience.
